Lord willing we plan to meet at our church building on Sundays for the rest of May for one worship service only—at 10:30 a.m.

Governor Wolf has moved our area into yellow phase for reopening PA.

The deacons and pastor prayed and talked about when and how we should resume services at the SVBC building. We had a great meeting and decided that for now we should evaluate things week by week. Our desire is to worship our Lord in spirit and in truth (John 4:23), to be wise, and to be safe. We want to exercise caution and proceed slowly. With that in mind, Lord willing we plan to meet at our church building for the rest of May for one worship service only—at 10:30 a.m. Here are some details:

  • There will be no nursery, Sunday school, or junior church.
  • Families that have been sheltering together over the last weeks please all sit together.
  • Social distancing: please sit at least six feet apart from other families. We have plenty of room!
  • We will probably sing a welcome song, but we will not be shaking hands, etc.
  • Offering plates will not be passed. A basket will be placed on a table in the back to receive tithes & offerings.
  • Please be extra respectful of the differing needs and concerns of others.
  • Masks may be worn if you so desire, but you do not have to wear a mask.
  • Disinfection of high-touch areas (doorknobs, handrails, bathrooms, etc.) will be done after every meeting. If you can help with this, please let us know!

For those of you who are most vulnerable &/or just hesitant about joining us, please know that we understand and encourage you to do as the Lord leads you with all the specifics of your own situation. (We do have a desire to get good internet for our church and make either better livestreams or videos uploaded on YouTube available. But we are not able to do this quite yet.)

Lord willing, our Wednesday evening Prayer Meetings will begin again at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13. We will meet in the auditorium so that we have plenty of room for social distancing.

Men’s Prayer Fellowship will resume at 8:00 a.m. this Saturday, May 9 in our Fellowship Hall.

If you have any questions, comments, prayer requests, or whatever, please let me know. We are glad to try to help you in any way we can.

Praying for you!
